Save journey to sapa
Simple cabin with snack and drink, smooth ride because is slow train, one transfer worth to try.
IF ONLY
Had a two-berth sleeper cabin Hanoi to Sapa. Well-appointed cabin and common facilities that were kept clean throughout. Good reception and staff. But a sleeper train is just that. Apart from the brief excitement of Train Street, it's the sleep that counts. Unfortunately, that's not easy with the irregular loud clanking (I'm guessing it's the worn coach couplings). And the final insult - having to pay a meagre sum for the morning beverage seems simply small-minded.

I’m impressed and much satisfied with customer services both thru chatting or on train. I got prompt response whenever I asked via WhatApp. Staff on train were good in English and friendly.

Cabines jolies, couchettes confortables et personnel très sympa. Fruits et boissons offertes, tout était très bien.
Clean and comfortable
We booked the VIP cabin for two persons and were very satisfied. It was clean, snacks and drinks were provided, WiFi worked perfectly and service was good. Also the air condition was adaptable so that you could choose by yourself if you wanted it cold or not that cold. Overall, the trip was very comfortable - starting with the lounge in Lao Cai and ending in Hanoi. Thank you for this experience!

I had a good time with chapa train. We booked the vip room. Room was cleaned, wifi was good, bed was comfortable. Train departure right on time. Highly recommended

When we go from hanoi to sapa the train was not very good, but when we go sapa to hanoi was very good...but in both cases the The bag of potatoes was expired and the potatoes tasted rancid.. Thanks
